ARTS AND ENTERTAINMENT FOUNDATION
DEDICATED TO DEVELOPING FUTURE LEADERS
Palm Coast, Florida, August 7, 2009The
Palm Coast/Flagler Foundation for the Arts and Entertainment (PCFFAE) is working to help mold future
leaders.A summer internship was made
available to Sarah Carey, a junior at MatanzasHigh School. Sarah is an honor student with many
interests such as theatre, soccer, track and key club. She worked under the supervision of one of
the Foundation’s professional staff at the Brookhaven Office, located in TownCenter. Her duties and responsibilities
were based on the Foundation’s needs.
Sarah feels that her work with PCFFAE was a natural fit for her because of
her interest in theatre arts.The
internship gave Sarah experience in the business, management and fund raising
side of the Arts.“I’ve learned how to
be part of a top notch organization,” says Sarah.“It’s allowed me to use my organization skills,
creative skills and my brain.”
“Our Foundation believes that the involvement and
participation of young people interested in the arts can and will build a
foundation of providing the community with an on going base of talent. It will
provide a better quality of life and future opportunity for all citizens of FlaglerCounty,” says Joseph Ganci, President. “Sarah made an important
contribution to our organization. We look forward to many young people participating
in our efforts. Our hope is that some day the Palm Coast/Flagler Foundation for
the Arts & Entertainment can provide some scholarships for higher education
