PALMCOAST – Monday, March 29, 2010. The Palm Coast Arts Foundation is proud to announce that on February 20, 2010, the Foundation’s
new logo won a bronze ADDY®
award for logo design at the Daytona Beach Advertising Federation
50th Anniversary award ceremony.The ceremony was held at the Daytona 500 Experience.
The ADDY® Awards are given by the American Advertising
Federation which is the oldest national advertising trade association,
representing over 40,000 professionals in the advertising industry.The awards represent the true spirit of creative excellence by
recognizing all forms of advertising. Judges are invited from a prestigious
list of qualified professionals from around the United States. The 3 judges for
this event came from Georgia, Kentucky and Florida.
The award was presented to Sean
Godonis, President/Owner, of Godonis Design, Inc. Sean worked
with the PCAF’s marketing committee to develop the design.After 20 different versions of logos and many
hours of discussion, both the agency and the Foundation’s marketing committee
felt that this one best represents the Foundation now and in the future. The
logo was presented to the Board of Trustee for approval.The vote was unanimous.
Godonis says, “The logo is unique
and dynamic with a modern touch. It has clean lines and is easy to read. It
truly fits the Palm Coast ART FOUNDATION’S identity. It sends a solid message
of emotion used to promote the arts and culture.”
Out of 250 total entries this year,
Godonis Design, Inc. won a total of 16 awards and took 2nd place for
overall awards.In the Bronze category,
in which the Palm Coast Arts Foundation logo was included, the logo competed
against 20 other entries.The judges
stated that the Palm Coast ARTS FOUNDATION logo received the award because of its
uniqueness and dynamic design.
A sculpture of the clef note with
the dancer will grace the entrance way of the ArtsCenter when it is built.For more information on the Palm Coast ARTS
